An application to build a large mixed-use development along State Route 211 in Braselton has been withdrawn. The Braselton City Council were scheduled to hold a public hearing on the project June 7.

The project to be called, Chateau Village, would have included 457 single family homes on 183.14 acres, a retail and hotel building space on 33.98 acres, and five additional commercial outparcels on another 7.9 acres, making it the first true mixed-use development in the area.

The application had been previously approved by the Braselton Planning Commission.
