Two DeKalb County men were indicted Thursday on charges related to pimping and exploiting children, the District Attorney's Office announced.
The grand jury returned an 18-count indictment against John William Anderson and Darryl Bearnard Curry.
Curry is charged with keeping a place of prostitution for person under 18 and giving false information to a law enforcement officer.
The charges against Anderson include trafficking of persons for sexual servitude, pimping for person under 18, sexual exploitation of children, false imprisonment, cruelty to children in the first degree and aggravated assault.
Both men are in custody in DeKalb County Jail.
"These are very serious and disturbing charges," DeKalb District Attorney Robert James said in a news release. "Our office is committed to protecting the people of DeKalb and prosecuting those who prey upon our youth."
The incidents took place in September and October 2011, according to the indictment.
Curry also is accused of possessing sexually explicit photographs of a minor and aiding a minor to possess ecstasy. He also allegedly committed assault with a belt and a coat hanger.
