DeKalb County has honored District Attorney Robert James and the office’s Domestic Violent Unit for its work to prosecute the crime.

The county also is recognizing the Victim Advocate Team for National Domestic Violence Awareness month in October.

James’ office handled more than 600 domestic violence cases last year and has received 458 such cases this year. The two units work together to prosecute the cases, as well as to find support for victims.
