DeKalb County police identified two suspects Tuesday in the shooting deaths of two people at a park a day earlier.
Their names were not disclosed but spokeswoman Mekka Parish said warrants have been issued for their arrest.
Two people were gunned down at Gresham Park in southern DeKalb. The shootings happened near the park's pool, which was closed Monday.
Family members of one of the victims told Channel 2 Action News the shootings followed a fight at the park. Investigators temporarily closed Clifton Church Road following the shootings.
A former crime scene investigator, Alfred Smith, told Channel 2 he was in the area and tried to save one of the victims. Smith said he was driving by when he saw a man running and shooting. He said the shooter returned to the scene and checked on the victims before fleeing.
"This guy comes back without a gun, walking just as casually as we do, walks by me to make sure both of them are dead," Smith told Channel 2.
The names of those killed were not immediately provided.
