A man was killed in a one-vehicle wreck on U.S. 78 in DeKalb County early Wednesday, police said.
A pickup truck driven by Joshua Charles Reuter, 37, of Decatur, overturned shortly after midnight, said DeKalb police spokeswoman Lt. Pam Kunz. Reuter was pronounced dead at the scene, she said.
Reuter's vehicle was believed to have been involved at an incident at Dugan’s bar on Memorial Drive in Stone Mountain in which an off-duty police officer was struck in the arm, Kunz said. The officer received minor injuries.
The driver left the parking lot without stopping, she said, and police were looking for the vehicle at the time of the crash. A passing motorist saw the overturned truck on the side of the roadway and called 911.
