A man who ran an unlicensed day-care facility out of his home in Coweta County has been charged with child molestation.

Sol Jason Moon, 54, has been charged with aggravated sexual battery of a child, the Times-Herald of Newnan reported. Moon was arrested May 27, the newspaper reported.

Moon and his wife were operating an unlicensed day-care facility at their home in east Coweta and were caring for four to six children ages 6 to 12, police told the Times-Herald.

The arrest came after a parent contacted the Coweta County Sheriff's Office and said a child had made accusations against Moon, according to Major James Yarbrough.

"We are interviewing other children ... and we believe more charges will follow," Yarbrough said.

Moon was being held without bond Friday at the Coweta County Jail.
