In a letter to parents, Atlanta Public Schools Superintendent Erroll Davis said he sees "light shining through" what some have called the perfect storm -- the scathing cheating report, the threat of high school accreditation loss, leadership changes and a budget shortfall. "Any one of these would be enough to knock any school district back on its heels. We have had to confront and successfully manage all of them at the same time," he wrote. Davis said he is optimistic because some of the issues are nearing resolution. Read the letter at on the district website.
