DeKalb County announced Monday that traffic court hearings previously scheduled through May 13 have been suspended until further notice. The move is part of a moratorium on "non-essential" court functions put in place across the state during the coronavirus pandemic.

Alleged violators will receive notice of a new court date in the mail.

In a news release, officials said the DeKalb County solicitor-general has also agreed to review certain cases which may be resolved without a court appearance.
