Jan 10, 2011The Georgia Supreme Court has upheld the DeKalb County murder conviction against ex-Atlanta police officer Harold Lee Render, who gunned down a man he blamed for killing his son, the court said Monday.
In April 2007, Render pulled into a convenience store on Flat Shoals Road when saw Lamarcus Walker's car parked outside.
When Walker walked out of the store, Render confronted him about the death of his 26-year-old son, Darold. As Walker turned and ran, Render shot Walker four times, including one shot to the back of his head as he lay face-down on the pavement, according to court records.
