Cops release sketch of suspect in stabbing of pregnant store clerk
Athens police have released a sketch of a man accused of stabbing a 25-year-old pregnant store clerk to death.
Kejuan Charde Hall was stabbed multiple times inside the Golden Pantry Shell station on Atlanta Highway on Dec. 30, Athens-Clarke County police Capt. Clarence Holeman told the AJC. Hall was found around 11 p.m., police said.
The incident is now being treated as a double homicide, the Associated Press has reported. Holeman said a preliminary autopsy report confirmed Hall was eight weeks pregnant, and that suspects will be charged with Hall's murder as well as feticide, the Associated Press said.
Family members told Channel 2 Action News the woman was pregnant and has an 8-year-old daughter.
Hall, a 2003 graduate of Cedar Shoals High School, turned 25 on Christmas Eve.
The man is described as black, approximately 5 feet, 8 inches tall and weighing about 180 pounds, police said. The man is in his late 20s or early 30s, police said.
Police are offering a $6,000 reward for information on this case and are asking people to call either Det. Chuck Ivy at 706-613-3337, ext. 337, or the Crime Stoppers Tip Line at 706-613-3342.
