A Marietta man hit by a car Saturday night will face charges when he is released from the hospital, police said early Sunday.

Issac Coleman, 46, was struck as he attempted to cross the northbound lanes of the Canton Road Connector, Officer Michael Gardner with Marietta police said.

Coleman was struck by a green 1997 Honda Accord driven by Veronica Nyambi of Austell, Gardner said. He was transported to Kennestone Hospital in serious condition. No one else was injured.

Coleman was cited for darting into traffic and pedestrian under the influence of alcohol, Gardner said.
