A man facing intoxication charges was arrested for being drunk in a Lawrenceville courtroom, police said.

Phillip Lawrence Ingram, 49, was charged with being under the influence at city hall, according to Gwinnett County jail records. Ingram was arrested Tuesday afternoon when an officer smelled alcohol on him as he was checking in to court, police said.

A breath analysis registered Ingram's blood alcohol level at 0.14, nearly twice the limit for driving.

The arrest this week is Ingram's 13th by Lawrenceville police. His bond was set at $168, according to jail records.
