The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Decatur man Wednesday, two weeks after authorities allege he shot a man several times and left him for dead in the middle of a DeKalb County road.

Nathan Antonious Jones, 18, of Decatur, was booked in the DeKalb County jail on a murder charge, according to online jail records. He was arrested at a College Park home, DeKalb sheriff's office spokeswoman Cynthia Williams said.

On Oct. 21, DeKalb police found Jordan Gratton, 20, with multiple gunshot wounds in the Woodland Cove neighborhood.

Witnesses said they heard five or six gunshots and a loud bang as at least two cars sped away from the Flakes Mill Road home. A resident told police his mailbox and a neighbor’s were left on the ground.

He then saw Gratton’s body in the middle of the street.

A motive in the shooting has not been released.
