A Gainesville couple faces charges of operating a marijuana grow house after police found $106,000 worth of pot in the basement of their home, authorities said.

Graig Theodore Medonat, 33, and Madeline Chelsey Stoddard, 25, were arrested on Saturday in Hall County on warrants related to the grow house, police said.

The investigation began on Feb. 16 when police executed a search warrant at the couple's home at 632 Dixon Drive in Gainesville. During the search, agents found  an indoor marijuana grow operation in the basement of the home consisting of 51 marijuana plants and more than 2 pounds of processed marijuana, police said. The estimated street value of the seized marijuana was $106,000, according to police.

The couple was arrested without incident and booked into the Hall County Jail. They face charges of manufacturing marijuana, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, and felony possession of marijuana.
