Convention bureau names executive director

The Gwinnett Convention and Visitors Bureau has promoted Lisa Anders to executive director effective Jan. 1.

Anders has worked at the bureau for 14 years, holding various positions in sales and marketing. Most recently she served as deputy director. She will continue to play an active role in marketing, communications and sales efforts.

The Convention and Visitors Bureau markets Gwinnett County as a destination for conventions, sporting events, meetings and travel.
