Drivers in Peachtree Corners will endure a bit of construction turmoil as improvements are made to the intersection at Bush Road and Medlock Bridge Road. Once completed, southbound Bush Road turn lanes will have increased capacity along with operational improvements and upgrades to the traffic signal.

Assuming there are no weather delays, construction is tentatively scheduled to begin in April. All existing travel lanes will be maintained during construction, but drivers can anticipate intermittent interruptions. Efforts will be made to minimize delays.

Vertical Earth, Inc. will handle construction for the $1.1 million project. Funding comes from the 2017 SPLOST program through an intergovernmental agreement with Gwinnett County.

The goal of the project is to improve vehicular and pedestrian safety and reduce congestion during peak traffic hours.
