Commission approves Lilburn CID expansion

May 18, 2011

The Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners has approved an expansion of the Lilburn Community Improvement District.

The Lilburn CID consists of commercial properties that have agreed to tax themselves to pay for infrastructure and other improvements. It was founded last year with 158 properties worth a combined $123.6 million.

On Tuesday county commissioners signed off on plans to add seven more properties valued at $4.7 million to the district, which is focused on improvements to Lawrenceville Highway from Rockbridge Road to Ronald Reagan Parkway.
