Two women were praising the Almighty Tuesday morning after a collision spun a parked car like a top but left no one seriously injured.

A 1-month-old baby in the parked car slept through the impact, and his 2-year-old brother was ready for more.

"He was probably like, that was fun, let's do it again," said the boy's grandmother, Jacqueline Lasane.

Lasane owns the house in the 1000 block of Rays Road in DeKalb County where a passing vehicle ended up in her yard after an evasive maneuver. Lasane's two grandchildren, Marcus and his baby brother Samuel, and her daughter, Jacaia, were in Lasane's Saturn in the driveway.

They were about to drive to a Walmart when a silver Acura walloped their car and spun it around 180 degrees.

Lasane said her daughter was in a little pain but nothing serious, and that her grandchildren were fine. The youngest was still asleep immediately after the 11 a.m. crash, she said. Her son-in-law witnessed the incident and the description of events he gave Lasane matched what the Acura driver told the AJC.

"I saw a white car, in my lane, coming towards me," said Beverley Holder, the driver of the Acura. "So I had to get out of the way." She said her car slipped on gravel during her desperate maneuver, and she went sliding into the parked Saturn.

She jumped out of her car and spotted the small children in the back seat of the Saturn. "It was looking like a tragic situation," Holder said, "but praise the Lord there was none."

Both Holder and Lasane said the white car kept going north on Rays Road. Lasane was happy that no one was seriously injured. Police were not immediately available for comment about the incident.

"It could have turned out so much worse," Lasane said. "God is always good."
