The Coca-Cola Foundation recently awarded more than $2 million in grants to  20  organization across the nation, including  several   in Georgia.

Most of the funds went to organizations that work with youth development and education. Other grants were made to help groups involved in healthy living, the environment, youth development and community recycling.

The local nonprofits included  100 Black Men of Atlanta, the Georgia Center for Nonprofits, the United Way of Metropolitan Atlanta, Piedmont Park Conservancy and the Upper Chattahoochee Riverkeeper.
