Cobb Horizon High School is the Cobb County School District’s newest high school.

This school is the result of Oakwood Digital Academy and the Cobb Performance Learning Center merging into one school, according to a CCSD statement.

Students will continue to have a blended learning environment since instruction primarily will be done online and enhanced by one-on-one assistance and teacher-led instruction.

Small class sizes and low student-teacher ratios will be a part of the new high school, and students will progress through their coursework at their own pace.

The new high school will be an alternative for students seeking an environment that is different from a traditional high school.

Cobb Horizon students will strive for success by focusing on three keywords: excellence, purpose and respect, said the CCSD statement.

“We want to provide as many opportunities for student success as possible. Cobb Horizon High School is one of those opportunities,” said CCSD Superintendent Chris Ragsdale.

“Each student wants to do something different, and it is our job to make sure we have prepared them for success regardless of what path they choose to take. We expect great things out of each and every student that attends here, and we look forward to the first graduate of Cobb Horizon High School.”
