Cobb to swear in new super July 11

New Cobb County Superintendent Michael Hinojosa will be sworn in by Superior Court Judge Reuben Green at 8 a.m. July 11 in district's headquarters, 514 Glover St. in Marietta. Hinojosa's contract officially starts July 1, but the board agreed to give him 10 one-time vacation days for use during his first month on the job. Hinojosa, who moves here from Dallas, wanted to start in August but the board did not want to name an interim after Superintendent Fred Sanderson retires this month.
