Students from two Cobb County high schools won the Georgia Robotics Invitational Tournament and Showcase, a competition involving over 500 students from four states.

The winners were part of an alliance of teams with students from Kell and Walton high schools in Cobb and from Mauldin, S.C., according to Cobb officials.

Saturday's event at the Museum of Aviation at Robins Air Force Base in Warner Robins was held by GeorgiaFIRST, the regional operating committee of a not-for-profit founded by Segway inventor Dean Kamen.
