Cobb schools respond to accreditation agency

The Cobb County school system has responded to an accreditation agency that has been monitoring the district since a dispute over the school calendar earlier this year.

The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools visited Cobb after complaints that board members were excluded from a meeting when an attendance calendar was amended.

Cobb responded last week with a letter saying it had taken several steps to encourage "cohesiveness" on the board and that training on open meetings law was planned for Dec. 8.
