Cobb schools to change calendar process

Cobb County Schools Superintendent Michael Hinojosa is recommending changes to the way the school board adopts academic calendars.

His recommendations, to be presented to the school board Wednesday morning, say calendar changes must be adopted at least nine months before they take effect. The board was locked in controversy earlier this year over calendar changes.

Also on the agenda: a discussion of the budget, legislative priorities and board protocols. The meeting begins at 8:30 a.m. at school system headquarters, 514 Glover St., Marietta.
