The Cobb County Board of Education agreed Thursday to ban cyberbullying, Instagram and Snapchat.

My Space was taken off the banned list, but Facebook and Twitter remain unless a teacher gives permission for instructional purposes.

Also, the issuance of driver’s licenses and permits to minors will be based on student enrollment rather than school attendance but not for students under suspension or expulsion.

Another change in the Student Code of Conduct for elementary through high school is no student shall intentionally “commit an act of assault or battery” instead of “make physical contact” of an insulting or provoking nature to a district employee unless this contact was in self-defense.
