Cobb rescue team suspends search for man missing in Chattahoochee

The search for a man reported missing Friday in a Cobb County portion of the Chattahoochee River has been suspended for the night, police said.
A swimmer was reported missing in the Chattahoochee River shortly after 2 p.m. Friday, officials said.
The Cobb County Technical Rescue Team and other fire department officials were searching for a man in the Chattahoochee River near Sandy Point, which is a beach-like area that juts into the river.
Sandy Point is about a mile and a half off Akers Mill Road.
