Cobb police want your old basketball shoes for its new athletic league

They’re somewhere. Those unused, feet-grew-out-of-them basketball shoes are somewhere in your house.

And just because your glory days on the court are over doesn’t mean the same for those sneakers.

The Cobb Police Athletic League is collecting shoes for boys 12 to 17 to be used in a basketball league it is starting.

If you’d like to join PAL or volunteer with anything from track to football, call 770-499-3921.

You have until March 15 to find those kicks and get them to any police precinct or the city facilities below.
