Cobb County Police have made an arrest in the Dec. 28 robbery of Cost Plus World Market in Kennesaw.

Police say Mark Joshua Ruark, 25, entered the store on Barrett Parkway around 7:15 p.m. Monday night, approaching the manager and displaying a handgun tucked in his waistband. Ruark is said to have then demanded that the manager open the safe. After receiving an undisclosed amount of  money, Ruark made the manager leave the store with him and escort him to an adjacent business, at which point he fled on foot, according to police spokesman Officer Joseph Hernandez.

Cobb County officers arrested Ruark on Thursday after matching the Jonesboro man with the description of the robbery suspect.

He is being held at the Cobb County Adult Detention Center on charges of armed robbery and kidnapping.
