Two of Cobb County’s most popular venues are now closed due to concerns over the coronavirus outbreak.

Effective Monday, Cobb Galleria Centre and Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre will be closed through March 31, the management team of both facilities said.

All events and performances scheduled at both locations have been postponed. Most of the staff will work remotely during the closures.

Karen Caro, marketing manager at Cobb Galleria Center, said none of its employees have tested positive for the coronavirus “to our knowledge.”

“The safety and health of our guests, staff and volunteers is always of the utmost importance to us,” she added. “Because the circumstances are changing daily, we will continue to communicate with you to keep you advised of our plans.”

The Cobb Energy center also asks residents to check its website and social media accounts to see if any cancelled events have been rescheduled.

No information about refunds has been posted, but Cobb Energy Performing Arts Center said on its website that anyone who has purchased tickets to cancelled or rescheduled shows should hold on to those tickets. Tickets to future shows can still be purchased through Ticketmaster.
