Cobb County Chamber of Commerce names new president

Don Beaver, a retired United States Marine Corps pilot, will become the new President and CEO of the Cobb Chamber of Commerce, the chamber decided Monday. Beaver has served as the Chamber's Chief Operating Officer for the last 11 years and concurrently as its head of economic development for about 13 years. Beaver is also the executive director of the Development Authority of Cobb County. He takes over from Bill Cooper, outgoing chamber president, who retired in December after serving 11 years.
