Cobb Community Foundation (CCF) has taken a number of steps to support the Cobb business community and Cobb nonprofit agencies that serve families in need during the COVID-19 pandemic, according to a news release.
CCF President and CEO Shari B. Martin said CCF has updated quickly online community resources, created funds to provide much needed support and mobilized daily status calls to help support nonprofit collaboration to better serve Cobb’s urgent community needs.
For instance, to find food pantries and up-to-date information from Cobb nonprofits, a map of community support services can be found at CobbCommunityConnection.org.
Also, CCF has established the Cobb COVID-19 Community Response Fund as a vehicle to support nonprofit organizations serving Cobb as they respond to the spread of the novel coronavirus.
Contributions to this fund will be distributed swiftly as needs arise, Martin said.
CCF has established this fund with flexibility in mind to ensure these resources will support communities as conditions, circumstances and needs change throughout this crisis, she added.
Any organizations delivering meals or otherwise providing food should contact Cobb Community Foundation at 770-859-2366 or email CCFTeam@CobbFoundation.org.
Founded by a group of Cobb business leaders who recognized the community’s need for a vehicle to invest in its future in late 1993, Martin said Cobb Community Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization that is “passionate about inspiring charitable giving, building resources for the future and connecting donors who care with causes that matter.”
