Cobb County’s citizens oversight panel will host a public meeting next month to inform residents about their goals and provide an update of their work.

The panel is tasked with reviewing the county’s management, organization and financial structure, and to provide recommendations to commissioners by June 28 for the 2012 and 2013 budgets. The group has divided into subcommittees to complete assignments that are due June 1.

The public forum will be held May 3 or May 10 at 7 p.m. The committee also plans to launch a website within a few weeks with more information.
