The East Cobb citizens for Responsible Government organization will host a forum on Wednesday for candidates running for the position of Cobb County Chairman.
Former chairman Bill Byrne if facing incumbent chairman Tim Lee in the runoff on Aug. 21. Lee has said he will not participate in this debate or any other candidate debate prior to the runoff next week. Byrne is expected to attend. A Marietta Daily Journal editor and columnist will serve as the panelists.
The forum begins at 7 p.m. in the theater at Walton High School, 1590 Bill Murdock Road in Marietta.
