The Cobb County Board of Commissioners voted recently to approve 67 townhomes for senior citizens in Vinings.

They will be built on the west side of Spring Hill Parkway, north side of Paces Ferry Road, east side of Spring Hill Road and southwest side of Simpson Road.

On behalf of Brooks Chadwick Capital of Marietta, attorney John Moore said the townhomes will be constructed on 6 acres with each comprising 2500 to 3500 square feet and costing $700,000 to $900,000.

They will be three stories with provision for elevator installations.

Officials with Old Vinings Estate Homeowners Association and Paces Homeowners Alliance stated their full support.
