Cobb County Animal Control has changed its name to Cobb County Animal Services to more accurately represent what they do.

Cobb County Animal Services can be found at 1060 Al Bishop Drive, Marietta.

Along with the new name comes a new quarterly newsletter with advice on how to care for “forever friends,” pictures of homeless pets needing forever homes and expert tips from veterinarians.

Also, find out information on the Superior Pets for Patriotic Vets program with free dogs and cats, provided by Superior Plumbing, to veterans.

Superior Plumbing recently donated another $5000 to provide for 50 more adoptions.

Volunteers, who must be at least 18 years old, also are needed to walk the dogs, feed the kittens and give them loving attention.
