Clayton County hosts emergency preparedness seminar
Clayton County hosts its 4th annual Community Emergency Preparedness seminar 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday at the Morrow Center, 1180 Southlake Circle (in Southlake Mall). The theme is “My Plan + Our Community Plans = Clayton Preparedness”
The event will focus on how to prepare as a community for disasters, ensure that families and neighbors are fully prepared for disasters through partnerships with county public health, emergency management and public safety agencies.
Discussions will be about neighborhood watch programs, non-profit and faith-based organizations to find ways to protect vulnerable populations such as elderly, low-income and home-bound.
There is no fee, but registration is required.
