Clarkston recently named a former Cobb County worker as its first planning and development manager.
Jason Gaines, who most recently worked with Cobb’s Community Development Agency, will be responsible for the small city’s permitting, zoning and land-use issues and also will work with city leaders on economic development issues.
Gaines, who also worked in Henry County, holds a master’s degree in city and regional planning from Georgia Tech and an undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia.
