Chick-fil-A cows lighten the mood after car plows into Athens restaurant
Earlier this week, the AJC reported on an underage driver accused of driving a stolen car through an Athens Chick-fil-A restaurant.
Athens-Clarke County police said “the driver of the vehicle lost control, continuing through the Chick-fil-A parking lot before coming to rest inside the restaurant.” It was a little after 4 a.m. Tuesday, and the Baxter Street restaurant hadn’t opened just yet.
But the mayhem didn’t keep them from opening at 11 a.m. and bringing a little humor to the situation.
Its bovine mascots held up signs directing drivers to the drive-thru, the only part of the restaurant still open for business as the lobby undergoes reconstruction.
