After nearly a week of searching a drained lagoon around a Chicago park, police have recovered evidence believed related to the case of a missing Georgia woman, according to media reports.

But Chicago police have declined to say what was located in the search for Laneesha Miller, reported missing in June. Miller, 28, of Marietta, never returned home after visiting friends in the Chicago area, according to her family.

The mother of three last spoke to her family on June 21. When she didn’t return home, her family notified police.

Last Tuesday, officials began draining the Marquette Park lagoon following a tip, Chicago's NBA affiliate reported. Though police declined to discuss specifics of the investigation, the lagoon is in the same area where Miller was last seen, according to the report.

Investigators have drained thousands of gallons of water from the lagoon to allow divers to make their way through the murky waters.
