The new school year starts Aug. 1 in Cherokee County, and the public school district has posted an online schedule of open house/walk-through events at each of its schools where class schedules and teacher assignments will be handed out.
Almost all schools have open houses July 30-31; the early exceptions are July 26, Polaris Evening Program; and July 27, Knox and Mountain Road elementary schools, Creekland, E.T. Booth and Teasley (7th and 8th grades) middle schools, and Creekview High School. The complete list is posted at: https://bit.ly/2NCYEJB
Also, ACE Academy new student and parent orientations are July 11, 17, 19, 24 and 30.
Students new to the district can be registered online at the New Student Gateway: https://bit.ly/2J7eg4H. Families will still need to present copies of legally required documents in person at the school for verification to complete enrollment.
