The Cherokee County School District is inviting businesses and organizations to “Partner Up!” — a free informational session in October to learn about becoming school partners.

People can drop by any time between 4 and 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 11, at the Dr. Frank R. Petruzielo Educational Services Facility auditorium, 1205 Bluffs Parkway, Canton. School leaders will be at tables, grouped by geographic area, to share coffee and conversation about partnership opportunities, officials said.

“This event will showcase the many different and easy ways partners can support our schools,” District Superintendent Brian V. Hightower said.

“Wish lists” for all schools will be available showing how partners can support them through donations of time, services and sponsorships. The Credit Union of Georgia is the evening’s presenting sponsor and will provide coffee and dessert.
