A teacher at Creekland Middle School in Cherokee County was arrested and charged Wednesday with child molestation.

The Cherokee County Sheriff's Office began investigating last week after a 15-year-old boy told county school police that a 26-year-old male teacher had "inappropriate contact" with him, the sheriff's office said Wednesday.

The investigation led to the charge against Kyle Campbell of Jasper, the sheriff's office said. He was arrested at the school district print shop and taken to the Cherokee Adult Detention Center, where he was being held without bond.
