Cherokee County government officials are seeking a resident to fill a vacancy on the Cherokee County Board of Family and Childrens Services.
The board member will help support Division of Family and Childrens Services staffers in their work, serve as a liaison between the local department and community, oversee how well the county is providing public assistance programs and recommend possible improvements in county operations, among other duties.
Board members must come from one of several professions including pediatric health care providers, first responders and law enforcement personnel, school personnel and mental health care providers. Board member terms are five years.
