Chemical fire breaks out at Norcross business
A chemical fire broke out in a business on Peachtree Industrial Boulevard in Norcross Tuesday.
The fire broke out shortly after 1 p.m. at Suniva, which makes solar cells to convert sunlight to electricity. Suniva and an adjacent business were evacuated.
Firefighters and members of the hazardous materials team evaluated the situation and decided to allow the chemical product to burn off.
