Chattahoochee Hills Interim City Manager Mike Jackson announced recently that Stoney J. Mathis is the new permanent police chief for the city, effective March 21.

Mathis was the former assistant Cchief of the Henry County Police Department until his retirement three years ago. After retirement from Henry County, Mathis served as the loss prevention manager at J. C. Penny.

“Stoney is an avid supporter of the community policing concept that we have all come to expect in Chatt Hills and has plans to continue and improve on the city’s efforts in that area of law enforcement,” stated Jackson. “I ask that you all give your full support to Stoney as your new police chief.”
