The city of Chamblee was recently honored for creative marketing and communications excellence by the City-County Communications & Marketing Association at its 2019 annual convention, according to a press release.

The “Come & See Chamblee” brochure won a Savvy Award during the annual awards ceremony at the Hilton Denver City Center in Denver, Colo., on Thursday, Sept. 5.

The brochure, funded, in part, by Discover DeKalb, showcases Chamblee’s new restaurants, boutiques and galleries in the printed publication. It also promotes the highlighted restaurants, boutiques and galleries in an accompanying social media campaign. The brochure is available at city buildings, on the city’s website and in Georgia’s Convention and Visitor’s Bureau network encouraging visitors and locals alike to make Chamblee a destination.

The Savvy Awards recognize outstanding local government achievements in communications, public-sector marketing and citizen-government relationships. More than 700 entries in 40 categories were received. 3CMA utilizes volunteer peer judges from across the United States to review every entry and provide constructive comments on the winning entries. Seventy-two first-place Savvy Awards were presented.
