Chamber VP, former Suwanee mayor arrested for DUI

Former Suwanee Mayor and current Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce Vice President Nick Masino was arrested for driving under the influence Wednesday.

Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Department documents show Masino was charged with DUI, improper lane change/failing to maintain lane and failing to safely operate a vehicle while using a phone.

Masino, 40, served as Suwanee mayor from 2000 to 2007. He is now vice president for economic development and Partnership Gwinnett at the Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce. In that post he oversees the business recruitment and retention efforts for Gwinnett County.

Masino could not be reached for comment early Thursday.
