A Middle Eastern diner in Alpharetta failed its restaurant inspection Tuesday after officials found that the facility lacked a certified food manager.

Paradise Biryani Pointe at 5310 Windward Parkway scored a 64/U during its inspection by the Fulton County Department of Health and Wellness.

Redy Goona said in telephone interview Wednesday he is the restaurant’s owner and current manager. However, Goona is not listed as a certified food manager on Tuesday's restaurant inspection. Goona purchased the property last month, and said he is currently in the process of finding someone qualified to run the diner.

The restaurant was also cited for torn kitchen tiles, cooked food not marked with preparation or disposal dates, and employees touching “ready-to-eat’ food with their bare hands.

Paradise Biryani Pointe has other locations in Sandy Springs and in Atlanta near Emory Point. Restaurants that have low scores are generally re-inspected within 10 days.
