Gwinnett firefighters are still trying to determine what caused a house fire on Wednesday that displaced a Snellville family.

Firefighters arrived at the home in the 3000 block of Pate Creek View shortly after noon to find blames shooting from the attic of a two-story house. The fire damaged the second floor and attic before it could be brought under control, said Gwinnett fire Capt. Tommy Rutledge.

The family escaped unharmed.
