Busy I-285 ramp closing all weekend in DeKalb
Overnight lane closures are planned through Friday for I-285 in the Perimeter area for preliminaries to the I-285/Ga. 400 interchange reconstruction. JOHN SPINK / JSPINK@AJC.COM
Georgia Department of Transportation contractors will close the I-285 westbound exit ramp onto Flat Shoals Road all weekend.
GDOT said the contractors will be placing asphalt and grading, weather permitting, from 9 p.m. Friday until 5 a.m. Monday.
Motorists traveling to Flat Shoals Road (exit 48) will be directed to take I-285 westbound to Bouldercrest Road (exit 51). That will detour traffic back onto I-285 eastbound to exit onto Flat Shoals Road.
